We are excited to announce that Blue Ridge United (BRU) is inviting players of all skill levels, U9 (2017) - U19 (2007), to try out for our travel soccer teams for the upcoming Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 seasons! 

BRU is dedicated to fostering a competitive yet supportive environment where young athletes can thrive on and off the field. Our club is looking for dedicated players and supportive families enthusiastic about learning and excelling in soccer within a positive, learning, and growth-based environment for all involved. We believe in creating a positive atmosphere where players can develop their technical, physical, psycho-social, and tactical skills while enjoying the spirit of the game.

All of our teams are coached by experienced and licensed coaches who are committed to delivering quality training sessions. Our coaching staff is equipped to nurture and develop young talent, ensuring a fun and challenging environment tailored to help every player reach their potential. Coaches are offered in-house educational events throughout the seasons for their continued growth within the game.

All players attending tryouts are asked to wear a white t-shirt for all the days tryouts are held.

Parking:

Main parking is in the War Memorial parking lot. At the Preston complex we prioritize parking in the War Memorial parking lot. However, we use the Cork Street parking lot to overflow as needed.

Check in:
All Check-ins would be processed under the BRU Canopies that you would find outside the Preston Turf (By the war memorial building) - We would have tables set up under the newly built Ramp/walkway between HENKEL HARRIS Baseball Field and Preston Turf Soccer Fields.

Please check in per the age groups on the tables assigned to pick up your number.

**Players must keep their tryout number and have it for all tryout days!**
*Must be wearing a White Shirt

Parents waiting in:
Parents: Please remain outside the fences of the field at all times during tryouts.
Avoid any and all comments, most importantly sideline coaching to the players and staff.
It is a hectic time for all involved.

Player attire and needs:
All players are asked to wear a white t-shirt for tryouts.
Players must also come prepared with the following:

- Plenty of fluids
- Soccer ball (pumped)
- Shin guards with soccer socks
- Cleats/turf shoes
- Soccer appropriate shorts
 
Players Checking Out/Parent Pickup:
Our coaches and volunteers will guide the traffic of players exiting the complex, so please make sure to wait for our players outside the entrance as they exit so that we may confirm their release to their respective parents.

Goalkeeper Tryouts:

We have created a Goalkeeper tryout days ran by our Goalkeeping Trainers. Please inform Farhod Tulaganov if your player is also trying out as a goalkeeper. email -> ftulaganov@brysa.org
