WINCHESTER, VA – APRIL 16, 2019 – Blue Ridge Youth Soccer Association, Inc. is proud to unveil a new name and logo as part of its transition to one leadership structure for both the Travel and Recreational programs.
In February, 2019, Blue Ridge Youth Soccer Association, Inc. (BRYSA) and Winchester United announced a transition of leadership from Rob Douglas (previous BRYSA Director) and Jim Carden (previous Winchester United Director) to Dustin Butcher as the Club’s Executive Director. This transition now provides players with a unified platform and a pathway to progress through the Club. Club members can expect to see significant improvements to their on-field experiences when it comes to field equipment, uniforms, practices and game days. BRYSA is committed to providing the best experience possible to help all of its players identify and reach their individual goals on and off the field. Dan Lill, Chairman of the Board, had this to say, “This is an exciting time for our Club to capitalize on the existing strong foundation and traditions currently in place and to forge ahead with visions of excellence for the betterment of all young players. Many new opportunities exist, and with energized leadership our short- and long-term goals will be achieved while providing the area’s premier soccer experience.”
BRYSA continues this transition with the introduction of its new name and logo. BRYSA will now take the name of Blue Ridge United for both its Recreational and Travel programs. The new name recognizes the history that both BRYSA and Winchester United have brought the community while demonstrating a truly unified approach moving forward. The logo, shown below, highlights the Club’s key values: history, unity and community. “Our new logo visually represents the unification of the recreational and travel soccer arms of our organization, drawing on our institutional history and programmatic excellence while reflecting a growth mindset towards the future,” said Amy Sluss, Blue Ridge United Board Member At-Large. “Vivid, bold and professional, we are thrilled to have one logo that all of our soccer players, parents and coaches will be proud to wear.”
